Joi Ito’s op-ed for the New York Times is a reminder that things that seem clear-cut from the outside (like nuclear attacks) often seem a lot more ambigouous and murky for the people who are on the inside. (The story of how it was written is interesting too)

Damien Mulley got in contact with me about the issue of having an organization to deal with issues around on-line rights and related issues. I think the key to making this work is to build on the strengths of the organizations already working in this area.

I just received a shiny new Nokia 6680 phone from Three Ireland on Friday. Nice phone, OK price for calls. The thing that appealed to me when I was ordering it was that I would be able to use it to keep an eye on my email and do a little light web browsing. But it turns out that Three don’t let you use the phone that way, so I’m returning it.
