Don’t say I didn’t warn you – Integrated Ticketing Crisis

Back in April, I warned you all that the Integrated Ticketing System for Irish transport was in trouble. This has indeed happened. There was a report in the Sunday Business Post and in the Sunday Times that the project is being reviewed.

It is good to see the government is taking radical action. However, I am worried about whether the skills are really available to the government to actually solve the problem. The committee the government has appointed has no expertise in developing complex IT systems.
